FAQ

Answers, ahead of every question.

Common questions about international pet relocation, our process, and our guarantee.

How far in advance should I book my pet's relocation?+

We recommend booking 8–12 weeks in advance for international moves to ensure all paperwork, vaccinations, and titer tests can be completed on schedule. Rush services are available with as little as 14 days' notice for an expedited fee.

Will my pet be sedated during travel?+

No. Most airlines and our in-house veterinary team strictly advise against sedation during air travel, as it can interfere with respiration and balance at altitude. We use proven low-stress handling and crate-acclimation protocols instead.

Can my pet fly in the cabin with me?+

Cabin travel is possible for small pets (typically under 8 kg including carrier) on select airlines and routes. Our team will identify whether cabin travel is an option for your specific pet and destination.

What happens during long layovers?+

Layovers over 4 hours include a comfort stop at one of our partner pet lounges. Your pet is removed from the crate, walked, hydrated, fed if appropriate, and given a wellness check before boarding the next leg.

Are brachycephalic breeds accepted?+

Yes, but with specialized protocols. We coordinate with airlines that still accept snub-nosed breeds, use oversized crates with enhanced ventilation, schedule cooler-season flights, and provide veterinary clearance before departure.

Do you handle the import paperwork?+

Yes — completely. Our compliance team manages health certificates, USDA endorsements, EU passports, import permits, rabies titer reports, and any destination-specific filings. We don't outsource this.

What if my pet needs medication during travel?+

We coordinate with your veterinarian and ours to administer scheduled medications at every layover and document each dose. Specialized medical protocols are available for diabetic, epileptic, and post-surgical pets.

Is real-time tracking available?+

Yes. Voyager and Aristocrat clients receive a private tracking link with GPS updates, layover check-ins, and photo updates from our handlers throughout the journey.

What is your safe arrival rate?+

99.8% over the last 11 years and more than 12,500 relocations. Our SLA includes full transparency on any incident, however minor.

Can you accommodate multi-pet families?+

Absolutely. We've coordinated households with up to 9 pets relocated simultaneously, including mixed-species families with dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles.

What payment methods do you accept?+

We accept all major credit cards, wire transfers, and corporate purchase orders. Voyager and Aristocrat packages can be paid in two installments.

Do you offer a guarantee?+

We offer a Safe Arrival Guarantee: in the unlikely event of any service failure attributable to our handling, we cover all veterinary and remediation costs and refund the service fee.
